NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF LOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AND BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that meetings of the Logan County Board of Commissioners and Logan County Board of Equalization will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2022 in the County board meeting Room of the Logan County Courthouse in Stapleton, Nebraska.  The Commissioners meeting and Board of Equalization meeting at 9:00 a.m.  Both meetings are open to the public.  Agendas for such meetings are kept continuously current and are available for public inspection at the office of the County Clerk in the County courthouse, Stapleton, Nebraska, but may be modified at such meeting.  PLEASE HAVE ALL CLAIMS SUBMITTED TO THE LOGAN COUNTY CLERK BY THE FRIDAY PRIOR TO THE COMMISSIONER’S MEETING.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF LOGAN COUNTY PLANNING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular quarterly meeting of the Logan County Planning Commission will be held October 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., in the Logan County Commissioner’s Room in Stapleton, Nebraska.  This meeting is open to the public.

LOGAN COUNTY REAL ESTATE OWNERS

January 1st is the assessment date for all real estate.   Please report all new buildings, additions to current buildings, including any new cement floors added to buildings, or the removal of any structures on your real estate during the 2018 tax year to the Logan County Clerk. 

In Gandy and Stapleton an improvement information statement must be filed with the Logan County Clerk for all new structures, or improvements to existing structures, PRIOR to the beginning of the project.  Rural residents must file with the Logan County Clerk/Zoning Administrator a Zoning Permit for all new structures and addition to existing structures, PRIOR to the beginning of the project.   A fee of $25.00 is required for all residential houses in rural Logan County, no fee is required for outbuildings.

Landowners will also need to report any land use changes which were made after January 1, 2017, this would include grassland converted to dryland or irrigated or the conversion of dryland or irrigated back to grassland. 

This information is vital in helping maintain updated real estate records.  Thank you for your cooperation.
