NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONDITIONAL USE ON LAND WITHIN LOGAN, NEBRASKA

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Logan County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on August 19, 2026, at 10:00 PM.  The meeting will take place in the County Commissioner meeting room of the Logan County Courthouse in Stapleton, Nebraska.

The purpose of this hearing is to review a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Morgan Hecox, owner of Sandhills Equine LLC.  The applicant requests to construct and operate a horse carcass composting site.  The affected property is located at 31 Avenue 140, Stapleton, Nebraska and is legally described as Tract #1 in the South Half of the Southwest Quarter (S1/2SW1/4) of Section 20, Township 17 North, Range 27 West of the 6^th PM, Logan County, Nebraska.

All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding this proposed rezoning.  Written testimony will also be accepted at any time up to and including the public hearing.
